Tips for making green choices in Frome

RECYCLING, ethical shopping, and energy efficiency are all becoming more relevant and important parts of our day-to-day lives.

But there’s so much more to consider about the impact we’re having on the environment; and how we can save money by reusing many recyclable items ourselves.

Learn more about the bigger picture with a fascinating talk at workhub The Old Church School, Butts Hill, 24th April at 6.30pm. This event is open and free to attend, for anyone interested in the topic of greener choices.

Alan Bailey, Chair of Low Carbon South West and a highly successful entrepreneur will be discussing green initiatives going on in the South West of England.

Also contributing to the talk are Charlotte Woodall and Michelle O’Loughlin, creators of start-up ‘Revival’ and winners of Frome Artisan and Flea Market Challenge 2013. They will be talking about reducing household waste and will share how anyone can creatively re-purpose household and throw away items into beautiful and useful objects and gifts.

To book a place contact or call event organiser Rebecca Krzyzosiak on 01373 888 108, booking is advised. This talk is part of a series of free and inclusive events under the programme of Old School Shorts.
