Tremendous support from the community raises in excess of £11,000

The Lions and Rotary clubs of Frome would like to thank the community after the Father Christmas Float raised in excess of £11,000 to help local good causes.

The total exceeds the year before and represents an all-time record.

The float combines an amazing team effort between the two clubs, and special thanks must also go to the drivers and marshals who do an excellent job in ensuring that Santa visits as many houses as possible.

Santa is now having a well-deserved break, but will be back in December to start his visits again!

President of Lions, Mark Symes and Rotary President, Jerry Lewis, would like to extend personal thanks to everyone involved and particularly the residents of the town and surrounding villages for supporting this annual fund raising event.

Mark and Jerry agree, it makes it particularly worthwhile when groups of friends and families gather along the route to say hello to Santa.
