Interesting gardens wanted!

HIDDEN Gardens is on the prowl for exciting new gardens to take part in this year’s Frome Festival event.

Hidden Gardens is a regular event in the Frome Festival in July, when a wide variety of gardens and allotments are open to view.

Organiser, Hilary Webb said, “Last year for the first time the gardens were open over three days, and it was such a success we are going to repeat it.

“We are always looking for new gardens to take part, and the dates this year will be Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July. It does not cost you anything and you can open for one, two or all three days.  You are welcome to sell refreshments (preferably Fairtrade) in aid of your favourite charity.

“There is no competition or vetting; your garden does not have to be immaculate or large – just interesting!  Allotments and vegetable gardens are also welcomed, as are community gardens.”

If you would like to open your garden, or for more information, please contact the organiser Hilary Webb –, or write to 17 Redland Terrace, Frome BA11 1HT.
