Rotary Club welcomes youngest member

Wayne Kelly has recently become the youngest Rotarian in the Rotary Club of Frome.

Humphrey Barnes reported, “President Jerry Lewis and members welcomed Wayne into the club recently, and he has for the past few months been a very active prospective member, helping with the Rotary and Lions Father Christmas float which raised £11,000 plus for deserving causes in and around Frome.

“Wayne was introduced to the club by David Millard and Mike Cole who are members of the Woodlanders Music Hall group of which Wayne is also a member.

“He is  very enthusiastic about all his community involvement including being on the Parochial Church Council at Christchurch, he is also a committee member of Frome in Bloom and has been involved in the Frome Musical Theatre Company for many years.

“Wayne is married to Sara who is expecting their second child in October; he is branch manager for Clarkson’s Independent Funeral Directors Ltd in Frome.”

Wayne said, “Rotary has given me a great deal of friendship and fellowship, and has enabled me to be involved in many charities and good causes, which I have found very rewarding.”
