Ghouls, zombies and vampires are Absolutely Fabulous!

Absolutely Fabulous Costume Hire & Fancy Dress in the centre of Frome is a proverbial Aladdin’s cave and the shop front is packed to the gunnels with every accessory you could possibly want for the party season.

On entering the shop you are met with more than the eye can take in. The counters are  crammed with a plethora of  make-up, fake cigars,  liquid latex, rigid collodion, vampire fangs, snakes, rats, crows, a werewolf mask, glasses, false eyelashes and of course, blood; after all it is almost Halloween.

Philippa Kaye, who has owned and run AbFab for 12 years, told the Frome Times, “Our Halloween stock came in at the end of August and I start ordering in March, so it’s a long thought out process. I try to stock everything my customers could ask for which is not easy.”

Walking through the two rooms at the back of the shop front, you are met with rail upon rail of quality costumes, shelves of footwear and hats hooked high on wires above your head; costume hire is what the shop prides itself on.

Philippa continued, “Costumes are still the most important part of what makes AbFab special. I am constantly sourcing new, relevant costumes either from our suppliers or I make them. At the moment the two costumes I’m in the process of making, which will be new stock for AbFab, are Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

“I’m always open to new suggestions and if I get asked a few times for a costume we don’t have, I make it. Customer satisfaction and quality service are two of the most important things to me. We are so looking forward to seeing all you Halloweeners and for the week of Halloween we are open every day, all day. It’s such a fun time of year.”
