Reach for the Bubbles family disco returns

After a triumphant and sold out launch, Reach for the Bubbles returns (and it’s going to get a bit darker).

The organisers say, “Back at the Silk Mill we will be hosting the bestest family Halloween party in town (a week early).

“We have got lots planned! We’re going to black out the Silk Mill (to provide a moodier, atmospheric dance floor), healthier snacks will be on offer, a reasonably priced bar, street food and of course everybody’s new favourite past time – DIY facepainting!

“The castle building at the first event was an absolute blast. So moving on from this we thought the logical progression would be Robot Building. Make a robot, wear a robot. Lionel Richtea and friends will be providing the dance floor fillers. No doubt they’ll be some spooky classics too.

“This time there will be much more emphasis on crowd interaction. Expect limbo, congas, Drum and Bass musical statues and the  Thriller Line Dance!

The bar will be provided by Horsebox Drinkery, Mrs Richtea will be providing healthy snacks such as popcorn, energy balls plus cup cakes too and Team Penfold, the family behind Frome Cafe ‘The Refectory’ and Frome’s newest world food takeaway ‘The Roti Shack’ will provide the food for this party, with child-friendly world food from the West Indies; traditional Bejan Mac and Cheese and fishcakes are on the menu along with another outing of the now famous ‘Mrs Penfold’s Pop up Ice Cream Parlour.’

“So bring the whole family along, everybody is invited including the baby sitter!”

Reach for the bubbles will be held on Saturday 24th October at the Silk Mill. Tickets are adult £5.50, walker £3.50 (under 18 and able to walk), family £15.50.
