Friday Night is music night on FromeFM

The Beano Team, (paying homage to John Mayall & the Blues Breakers’ famous “Beano” album which was their first studio album released 1966), has come up with a brand new Friday night line-up.

From 7.00pm until midnight, you can enjoy a range of music pleasure, live from the Old Fire Station, Frome.

‘The Tim Addams Show’ kicks off with a happy hour of Tim sharing music he loves to play and his assorted ramblings on anything that takes his fancy.

‘The Big House’ presented by Dave Watkins starts at 8.00pm. A fortnightly hour full of world class Rock & Prog music with the playlists carefully pieced together to give you the best of both worlds.

On alternating weeks in the same slot, ‘50 Shades of Soul’ is presented by Pam Howard. The music on this show is prompted by memories of days gone by when dance halls were filled with couples dancing cheek to cheek to “the best music of all time” – Soul.

At 9.00pm every week, Kowalski presents ‘The Green Door’. But, what really is behind the Green Door? This hour and a half is filled with music from the last century with glimpses of what’s new.

The night of live music closes with ‘Papa D’s 70′s Discotheque’, presented by David Howard. The first hour features classic hits that rocked the 70s and early 80s, and then things slow down to cool, with some sweet tracks to take us to the midnight hour.

Thanks to Adam Palk, ‘The Sculpture Studios’, Cheltenham, who lent us a copy of The Beano for the photoshoot. You can see more at his stall at the Frome Independent Market.

These and other shows can be found on the FromeFM website – ‘Listen Now’ or as podcasts:
